Mega

The most advanced ambulatory EMG monitoring technology with over 2000 installations worldwide.

Mega Electronics Ltd is specialized in biosignal monitoring for rehabilitation, occupational health, sports medicine and gynecology since 1983. The company has developed a compact ambulatory technology to detect muscle activity on the skin surface both in laboratory and field conditions.

MegaWin
Windows platform for biosignal management

New software with unique features: easy to use, protocol measurements, compatible with many biosignals and systems. Versatile tools for the most demanding needs.

  • Possibility for real time measurements or data download
  • Raw and averaged EMG and/or other biosignals
  • Patient database
  • Protocol measurements
  • Muscle selection from the muscle maps
  • Electrode placement examples
  • Export and import
  • Reports
  • Follow-up

Biomonitor ME6000

Telemetry and data logger in one compact size unit

Biomonitor ME6000 is designed to meet the most demanding needs in biomechanics research, rehabilitation, occupational health, education, sports medicine and neurology.

The ME6000 is small and lightweight (only 344 grams). The system includes EMG cables, but you can easily ("plug & play") or use other sensors like goniometers, accelerometers, heart rate, ECG, etc. The ME6000 is also compatible with force plates and isokinetic and motion analysis systems.

Features:

  • High resolution LCD display
  • Telemetry (WLAN)
  • Data logger with 256 MB - 2 GB memory (CF card)
  • Field and real time measurements
  • Verbal MP3 audio feedback
  • 14 bits A/D conversion
  • 1 uV resolution
  • Trigger in/out
  • Other sensors and systems (optional)
  • Video EMG (optional)

The measurements can be stored in the large memory (CF card, 256 MB - 2 GB) or monitored in real time (telemetric or USB cable).

The large graphics LCD display shows the signals in real time. The maximum sampling rate of the ME6000 is 10.000 Hz per channel with 14 bits resolution. The system is fully compatible with the MegaWin software.

Able to measure:

  • EMG
  • Video EMG (digital)
  • ECG, HR
  • Goniometers
  • Acceleration
  • Inclinometers
  • Foot switches
  • Force

MESPEC 8000

Mespec 8000 collects and stores the EMG (or other biosignal) data in real time with up to 10.000 Hz sampling rate per channel. The filtering band can be adjusted for each channel separately.

The system is available with 8 or 16 channels. In the latter case two eight-channel units are connected together. If there is a need to connect some external systems (isokinetic, etc.) with Mespec 8000, we supply an optional ME4ISO Isolation Unit , which can be connected directly to Mespec 8000 and offers four isolated inputs for other signals.

Mespec 8000 consists of one or two EMG unit, EMG preamplifier cables, computer interface for desktop or laptop PC and the versatile MegaWin software.

FemiScan Concept
FEMISCAN CONCEPT IN FEMALE URINARY CONTINENCE CARE

Stress urinary incontinence is mainly a reflection of decreased pelvic floor muscle control. Urinary incontinence has a number of causes and conventional treatment may sometimes be ineffective. In severe cases surgical intervention may be needed.

Preventive training of the pelvic floor muscles before pregnancy and/or after childbirth improves the situation significantly, especially if the training can be done at home and progress monitored by a health care professional. The condition and the activity of the pelvic floor muscles can be detected and measured using electromyography (EMG).

The FemiScan concept facilitates both subjective and objective follow up of the patient's progress towards continence while in the clinic and at home. The concept consists of two parts:

A) FemiScan Clinic Set
During treatment biosignal amplifiers accurately monitor pelvic floor activity in real time, providing optimal feedback for the patient and health care professional. FemiScan software displays the results for the health care professional. This evaluation of the pelvic floor muscles and the biofeedback training can be carried out in the clinic, but the protocols can very easily be uploaded into the FemiScan HomeTrainer device for hometraining.

B) FemiScan Home Trainer
The FemiScan Home Trainer is battery operated and easy to use. The cover is removable and intended for personal use only. The instructions for treatment can be created individually for every patient, programmed in her own home treatment device. The device guides the user in the daily performance of the pelvic floor muscle exercises. The system is self-adapting for every training session.

The user will hear a voice-controlled training program through her headphones in her preferred language. She will get clearly worded feedback on every contraction / relaxation session immediately. The FemiScan Home Trainer automatically keeps a daily record of the treatment, or treatment diary, which can be downloaded in the clinic and analysed in graphic form using the FemiScan software.

The FemiScan concept offers:

  • Non-invasive treatment for continence care
  • Painless and safe treatment
  • Precise evaluation of pelvic floor muscles
  • Individual training protocols
  • Voice guided home training
  • Smart & interactive feedback
  • Home care & follow-up
  • Success rate - over 80%
